Frequently asked questions

The questions we answer every week.

What is the difference between PPF and Vinyl wrap?
While both are applied over your vehicle's paint, they serve distinct primary purposes. A Vinyl Wrap is a thin, PVC based vinyl film designed for cosmetic customization. It allows you to completely change the look of your car with a virtually endless variety of color options, including gloss, matte, satin, color shift, and custom graphics, but in terms of protection there is definitely more to be desired. That is where Paint Protection Film (PPF) comes in. It is a thicker, highly durable polyurethane shield engineered specifically to protect your paint from rock chips, bug acids, and deep scratches, often featuring a healing topcoat which is exactly what you will find here. Traditionally, PPF is completely clear to protect and showcase your factory paint, but modern Colored PPF is now available, alongside Stealth (satin) and matte finishes. Colored PPF combines the robust, heavy duty protection of traditional clear PPF with the dramatic color change options of a vinyl wrap, so you get the best of both worlds while still saving thousands by not professionally painting your vehicle.
What is the benefit of ceramic tint?
Ceramic tint is easier to see out of, lasts longer, and rejects heat the best out of any other tint material. Unlike dyed films, it will not turn purple, peel, or fade when exposed to sunlight for more than a couple years.
What is the difference between PPF and ceramic coating for paint protection?
The key difference comes down to physical versus chemical protection. PPF, like we mentioned before, is a highly durable, physical polyurethane film applied over your vehicle's panels. It is specifically engineered to absorb heavy impacts, preventing rock chips, deep scratches, and physical wear and tear. PPF is available in clear, stealth (matte and satin), and full color change options. A Ceramic Coating on the other hand, is a liquid polymer that chemically bonds to your vehicle's surface, creating a microscopic, slick, hydrophobic layer. Unlike PPF, ceramic coatings offer zero color change options and are completely invisible; they simply enhance the gloss of your existing finish and offer chemical protection. While a ceramic coating excels at repelling water, making the car incredibly easy to wash, and protecting against chemical stains like bird droppings or UV fading, it will not protect your paint from rock chips or physical scratches.
