Professional Window Tinting in Bluffdale, Utah.

Utah summers are brutal, and the last thing you want is that heat baking the inside of your car. Our window tinting in Bluffdale fixes that. Our Specter Ceramic film blocks up to 99% of infrared heat, so your interior stays cool and your AC doesn't blow your eyebrows off.

It's not just about comfort either. UV exposure is what fades your seats, cracks your dash, and ages your interior faster than anything else. Good tint stops that before it starts.

We've been doing this for over 21 years out of our Bluffdale shop, and we don't cut corners. Every install is done by certified installers, every film we offer is backed by a warranty, and our top-tier Specter Ceramic comes with a lifetime guarantee. Whether it's your daily, your weekend ride, or something brand new off the lot, we'll treat it the same way… like it matters.

Ceramic vs. Carbon: Which One's Right for You?

At the end of the day, both films have the same basic job. The difference is how well they do it, and how long they hold up.

Specter Ceramic is the top of the line. It blocks 98.88% of infrared heat, carries a lifetime warranty, and won't turn purple or bubble out on you five years in like cheap tint does. If you're tinting a new car, something you actually care about, or anything that sits in the Utah sun all day, this is the one. You'll feel the difference the first time you get in on a 100-degree afternoon.

Shadow Carbon is the more affordable option, and honestly, it's still a solid film. 68% IR rejection, 5-year warranty, looks clean and doesn't fade. For a daily driver, a work truck, or a car you're planning to trade in before long, Shadow Carbon is plenty. It outperforms most of what other shops install as their "premium" tier.

If you're still not sure, give us a call. We'll ask a couple questions about your vehicle and how you use it, and point you to the right one.

Common questions about window tint

Is window tint legal in Utah?

1

Mostly, yes - with one rule that trips people up. Utah law requires your front side windows to let in at least 35% of visible light (VLT). Anything behind the driver - rear side windows, back window - can be as dark as you want. You could paint it and they wouldn’t care. Windshields can have a non-reflective strip along the top, above the AS-1 line. Reflective or mirrored tint isn't legal on any window. We install everything to code by default, so unless you specifically ask for something for off-road use only, you won't have to think about it.

How long before I can roll down my windows?

2

At Zeal, we recommend at least 3 to 5 days. The film needs time to fully cure and bond to the glass, and rolling the windows down too early can cause the edges to lift or shift. In cooler months, lean closer to 5 days to be safe. You might notice some haziness or small water bubbles during this period which is totally normal. It's just moisture evaporating, and it'll clear up on its own.

Why is ceramic tint more expensive than regular tint?

3

Because it's a completely different product. Standard dyed tint is basically colored film. It looks dark, but it doesn't do much to block heat, and it fades to purple over time. Ceramic tint uses microscopic ceramic particles embedded in the film to block infrared heat without blocking your visibility. That's what costs more to manufacture, and that's why the heat rejection numbers on ceramic (like our Specter at 98.88%) destroy what cheap tint can do. You're not paying for a darker window, you're paying for a film that actually performs.

How long does tint install take?

4

Depends on the vehicle and the coverage. A full car (all windows, including the windshield strip) usually takes us 2 to 4 hours. A simple two-front-window job is closer to an hour. Bigger vehicles like SUVs, trucks, and vans with extra glass can push 4 to 5 hours. We don't rush installs to hit a quota, so if it takes a little longer to get it right, that's what it takes. You're more than welcome to drop the vehicle off and we'll let you know when it's ready.
