Custom Vinyl Wraps in Bluffdale, Utah.

A wrap isn't paint. You're not changing the car permanently, you're just covering it. Matte, satin, gloss, chrome, whatever color you want - the original paint stays untouched underneath. So in a few years when you want to sell the car, or you just get tired of the color, it peels right off.

That's the appeal, but it only works if the install is actually good. A wrap that's just pulled tight over the panels and tucked under the edges will start lifting within a year. That's why we take panels off when they need to come off. Doors, bumpers, handles — whatever gets us a clean edge. It's more work but it's the only way to do it right.

Here at Zeal, we've been wrapping cars out of our Bluffdale shop for a while now, and we keep it simple. Three tiers, three price points, same install quality on all of them. Our Elite package uses the films the serious guys use — 3M, Avery Dennison, KPMF, Orafol. Essentials is the entry tier and still better than what most other shops around here are calling premium. Pick what fits the car and the budget. We'll take it from there with a 3-4 day turnaround, so you can get on the road with your new color as soon as possible.

Frequently Asked Questions about vinyl wraps

  • The vinyl itself is high quality across all three tiers — nothing we install is going to bubble, peel, or fade prematurely. The differences are in the films we use, the number of color options available, how much disassembly we do during the install, and the length of the warranty. Essentials gives you 40+ color options and a 1-year workmanship warranty. Advance opens up to 200+ colors with a 3-year full warranty and partial disassembly. Elite uses only premium films from 3M, Avery Dennison, KPMF, and Orafol, comes with 400+ color and custom-print options, full panel disassembly, and a 5-year full warranty. Every tier gets the same install standard — the difference is the materials and how deep we go into the vehicle.

  • Because it's done right. A proper wrap takes 3-4 days of labor from a certified installer, uses premium film that costs significantly more per roll than cheap vinyl, and involves partial or full disassembly of the vehicle. If you've seen a shop quoting $1,200 for a full wrap, they're either using budget film, wrapping over the panels instead of removing them, or rushing the install. That's why those wraps start peeling within months. The price reflects the materials, the time, and the warranty — a wrap that's going to actually last 3-8 years isn't something that can be done cheap.

  • Hand wash only, with a pH-neutral soap and a soft mitt. Skip the automatic car washes, especially the ones with rotating brushes — they'll scuff the finish, particularly on matte and satin wraps. Rinse off bird droppings, tree sap, and bug splatter as soon as you notice them, because they can stain the vinyl if they sit too long. Avoid pressure washing within 6 inches of the wrap edges or seams. And if the car lives outside, park in shade or a garage when you can — UV exposure is the biggest long-term threat to any wrap.

  • Depends on the tier and how the car is cared for. Essentials typically holds up for about 3 years. Advance runs 3-4 years. Elite, with premium films and full disassembly, usually lasts 6-8 years. All of those assume the car is being washed properly and isn't baking in direct sun all day every day. Garage-kept cars on the Elite tier can push past 8 years without issues. Daily drivers parked outside in the Utah sun will land on the shorter end of the range.

  • No, as long as the paint was in good condition when the wrap went on. Vinyl wrap actually protects the factory paint underneath from UV damage, minor scratches, and rock chips. When it comes off, the paint underneath looks the same as the day the wrap was installed. The one caveat: if the paint was already failing — cracked clear coat, peeling areas, or previous bodywork that wasn't done properly — removing the wrap can pull some of that damaged paint up with it. If your paint is solid, you have nothing to worry about.

  • That's one of the main reasons people wrap in the first place. When you're ready for a new color, we remove the existing wrap and install the new one. Removal typically takes a few hours depending on the vehicle and how long the wrap has been on. If the wrap is still within its expected lifespan it comes off clean. If it's been on well past its warranty period and baked in the sun for years, removal takes more time but it's still manageable. Most of our clients on the Advance and Elite tiers end up coming back for a color change every few years — that's part of the appeal.

Looking for More Than a Wrap?

Most of our wrap clients end up adding at least one other service — either to protect the new finish or to make the whole vehicle feel showroom-fresh. Here's what we also do in-house:

Paint Protection Film (PPF) — A clear, self-healing film that goes over high-impact areas like the front bumper, hood, and fenders. Protects the wrap (or the paint underneath) from rock chips, road debris, and scratches. Especially worth adding if you're wrapping a high-end build or a daily driver that sees a lot of highway miles.

Window Tinting — Full ceramic tint to block heat, UV, and glare. Keeps the interior cool and protects the upholstery from the same UV that fades wraps from the outside. Pairs naturally with any wrap tier.

Ask us about bundling — clients who combine services typically save over booking each one separately.

Paint Correction & Ceramic Coatings — If you're not ready to wrap but want your factory paint looking better than the day you bought it, paint correction removes swirls and scratches, and ceramic coating seals it with a long-lasting protective layer. Also a smart pre-step for any wrap install — we wrap over a clean, corrected surface for the best possible finish.

Auto Detailing — Interior and exterior detailing to get the full vehicle feeling new again. Included as a Platinum-level detail with our Elite wrap package, or available standalone anytime.
